Organ(e)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Created in 2011, by Geoffrey Veyrines (visual artist), then joined by Olivier Dec (organist \/ harpsichordist) and Pierre-Alexandre Faurd (guitarist \/ bassist), they form the trio Organ(e).<\/p>\n

Organ(e) is a sound sculpture, shaped live in the heart of churches, cathedrals and other resonant spaces. It is an invitation to travel and to meditate.<\/p>\n

The first creation for organ, entitled “Les sph\u00e8res”, was played for the Festival “Musiques D\u00e9mesur\u00e9es”, in the form of a monumental 360 degrees installation, in the cathedral of Clermont-Ferrand. Organ(e) was also presented for the “Sound Festival” at King’s College in Aberdeen, Scotland, and in Givors in partnership with the \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure d’architecture de Lyon. Supported by the DRAC Auvergne and by Clermont Metropole, with the grant for creation in contemporary and experimental music, the trio focuses its research on the creation of a musical experience, a springboard to letting go and to frequency contemplation.<\/p>\n

The residency with Vid\u00e9oformes for Vid\u00e9obar#92, is the occasion to present the work in progress of a new composition for harpsichord, crystal vessels, analog noises, voices and synthesizers. The journey is sonic, musical, olfactory and visual. Sitting or lying down, the audience is immersed in a sound bath with the musicians, where the bewitching fragrances of olibanum tears awaken the presence of quartz and amethyst crystals.<\/p>\n

Geoffrey Veyrines
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visual artist, graduated from ESACM in 2012, he develops a musical and sound work using writing and digital technologies. He initiated and conceived the project Organe in 2011. In 2013, he creates the duo “Lar\u00e8ge & Meyrines” as a composer and arranger. In 2016 he composed the music for the film “Sables” by Nelly Girardeau, as part of the grant for the documentary film “brouillon d’un r\u00eave” with the SACEM. In 2019, he will create “O” a pictorial and musical project, articulated around the genre “sung poetry” as an author, composer and performer.<\/p>\n

Olivier Dec
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Harpsichordist and organist, he graduated in 1998 from the Conservatory and the Faculty of Musicology of Strasbourg and founded the baroque ensemble “Alcina”. In 2004, he collaborated with musicians from the Lyon Opera on Karl Jenkins’ “La messe de l’homme arm\u00e9”. In 2008, he experimented with the world of film music, in “Dogora” by Patrice Leconte, in association with Etienne P\u00e9ruchon, at the Vienna Antique Theatre. He is involved in the restoration of the organs of Is\u00e8re and participates actively in their development. He collaborates with Organ(e) since 2012 in composition and for concerts as an improviser on the organ.<\/p>\n

Pierre-Alexandre Faurd
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Musician, guitarist, bassist, he created Benco Box with Stephen Levin in 2010. They produce two albums and evolve in the “French noise” scene alongside bands like Poil, Jack Dupont, or with La Femme and Mustang.<\/p>\n

In 2018 he joins “Remorse” an “extreme metal” formation with mathcore \/grindcore tendency which shares the stage with references of the genre like Blockheads, Comity, Inside Conflict… The group produces the album “Nexus” in 2021. He integrates Organ(e) in 2021 that he feeds with his matierist approach of the sound and his skills of engineer.<\/p>\n
