Video installation.<\/p><p>This video triptych is built around the figure of the storyteller Alin L\u00e9gar\u00e8s, who here performs his own text, <em>Wot\u00e8 lalinn la<\/em> (The Height of the Moon). As part of a series of creative residencies in Martinique, the two artists are undertaking a long-term artistic collaboration with him. A master of the oral tradition, the storyteller stimulates our collective imaginations through his vitality and the poetic power of his words. Since its inception, the collective has undertaken a number of production and dissemination projects that lie at the intersection of different practices, media and genres. Their approach is based on the work-in-progress nature of the project, mobility, a collaborative spirit and a desire to pass on knowledge. The artist duo works immersively within residency contexts. They involve local residents, the community and the concept of the commons, the territory and the memory of places in their creative processes. They regularly collaborate with other artists, creators, thinkers and scientists. They live and work in Pau, Biot and elsewhere; Yogyakarta on the island of Java in Indonesia, in France, in Saint-Denis, Lab\u00e8ge, Bill\u00e8re, Nantes, Martinique&#8230; Their film practice is class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Alin L\u00e9gar\u00e8s is a traditional V\u00e9y\u00e9 storyteller born in September 1947 in the town of Gros-Morne in Martinique. He is one of the island\u2019s \u2018m\u00e8t a pawol\u2019.\u00a0 With a clear determination to break free from clich\u00e9s, this native of Gros-Morne has made a significant contribution to restoring a cultural dimension to Martinican oral traditions. An active and committed participant in the cultural renewal of Martinique in the 1970s, he was a co-founder and pillar of SERMAC, running a community theatre in the deprived neighbourhoods of Fort-de-France. Having become an actor, playwright and director, and a close collaborator of numerous artists and musicians as well as the playwright and mask-maker Jean-Marie Binoche, he has also enjoyed an international theatre career. He is a specialist in ethnomusicology, focusing on music and issues of orality in the Caribbean.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
