For this VIDEOBAR, the Duo Audinet / Marty and the group Baké Baké! will improvise on Film for music and the last four films of Raphaël Maze.
Film for music is a video project built like a visual score. The images in their materials, structures and textures dissolve in a liquid music, or conversely are the fruits of distortions.
Since 2010, the sound versions of the film are realized by : Emmanuel Lalande, Nozal Cube, Jacques Brodier, Id m theft able, Olivier Labbé, Jean Philippe Gomez, François Buffet, Bruce Mc Clure, Guillaume Gargaud & François Lebègue, Speet Silex, Michel Titin- Schnaider, Sophie Agnel & Olivier Benoît, Ben Miller.
Raphaël Maze works with video by intensifying the image modulated by a speed close to the flicker.
In his films, interior and political landscapes follow one another, forming a chaotic representation of signs, lines and graphic constructions. The passage from interior landscapes to political landscapes stems from images filmed during his travels in the United States and Europe.
The editing of the films, close to structural cinema, uses a black and white treatment of the different formats (DV, 3G, super 8) and reveals a dreamlike charge of the image and of the urban space. The rhythm of these films produces visual pulsations, beats where the sound becomes a counterpoint and an anchor.
The soundtracks have been produced since 2007 by experimental musicians: Emmanuel Lalande, Nozal Cube, Jacques Brodier, Id m theft able, Olivier Labbé, Jean Philippe Gomez, François Buffet, Bruce Mc Clure, Guillaume Gargaud & François Lebègue, Speet Silex, Michel Titin-Schnaider, Sophie Agnel & Olivier Benoît. Duo Audinet / Marty.
