The Homo laborans project was born from a desire to highlight the trades and people who work in the public space: visible and yet ignored workers, the arduousness of these trades. Meeting a person, a job, bringing together professional worlds that do not have the opportunity to mix, these are the ingredients of this creation.

Homo Laborans has received the support of the City of Clermont-Ferrand (Aid to creation, 2011), the Auvergne Region (Performing arts, creation and dissemination, 2011) and the General Council of Puy-de-Dôme (Aid to dance creation, 2012); its realization began in April 2012 in Clermont-Ferrand and its dissemination begins in October 2013.

Clotilde Amprimoz is both a dance director and a choreographer for the image. She has been designing and participating in choreographic and cinematographic projects since 2001. She studied history, art history and performing arts (Paris 1, Paris 8, EHESS) and has worked with various dance companies in France and elsewhere (notably the Cie des Prairies, the Association Fin Novembre, the CCN de Caen, the Cie 2k_far, the Cie Wejna, Air Food Cie, the Cie Komusin…), as well as at the Centre Pompidou and the Centre National de la Danse. She is a laureate in cinema/video of the European project “Métamorphoses” in 2013-2014.

ChoréACtif, the association for interdisciplinary creation: Clotilde Amprimoz founded in 2009 the Association for Interdisciplinary Creation or ChoréACtif in Clermont-Ferrand proposing a dialogue between the arts which is defined here as a collaboration of artists who listen to each other, perceptions that respond to each other and intertwine, and an enhancement of the work of one by another.
