End of Production Residency for Artist Julie Stephen Chheng in Montrond-les-Bains
As part of the Culture Bains #2 project, artist Julie Stephen Chheng is in residency at Montrond-les-Bains until November 30, 2024, creating an augmented work combining digital art and virtual reality, focused on the themes of water and well-being. This project is a collaboration between VIDEOFORMES, the city of Montrond-les-Bains, the thermal baths, the Forez Est Tourist Office, and Antony Squizzato.

Julien Stephen Chheng, a multidisciplinary artist
Graduating from the Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Julie Stephen Chheng explores the interaction between paper and digital media in the fields of books, design, and scenography. She has worked on interactive books and augmented reality projects like Uramado AR. Her works touch on themes of nature and spirituality, inviting the audience to engage in playful and immersive experiences between tangible and virtual worlds.
Julie Stephen Chheng has held residencies in Hong Kong (2014) and won the Digital Arts prize at Villa Kujoyama (2016). She currently works on projects blending craft and digital art, including Fortune Teller and Paysages en construction.
