VIDEOBAR #81 – BETWEEN NOISES
A project by FRANCK BEAUBOIS in collaboration with PATRICIA KUYPERS.
Video / dance performance | 2020
A physical, visual and sound game about what I see of what I hear and what I hear of what I see.
With the support of the University Culture Service.

Using an audio-visual recording device, designed to be able to play and modulate the recorded event in real time, the dancers propose an experience where live performance, projection and sound effects are intertwined.
The captured sequences, decomposed and recomposed live by the performers, invite a new reading of the near past. The different scenes create a contrasted score where full and empty, silence and saturation are materials for an exploration of perception, of the imaginary of seeing, hearing, imagining.
Noising their physical actions and making selected objects sound, the duo sketches a dialogue that testifies to their discoveries of relationships, congruent or dissonant, between movement, image and sound.
Between noises is the generic title of a research that is actualized in the form of a performance. This VIDEOBAR will be the occasion of a first sharing with an audience.
