Landscape Dpi of Isabelle Dehay
On May 24th, VIDEOFORMES presents, in partnership with the Maison Garenne in Saint-Sauves d’Auvergne, Isabelle Dehay who experiments her residency project Paysage Dpi for a first setting in space of video-plant sequences.

Isabelle Dehay builds her works as one composes a symphony, working on composition and movement through the notion of mental landscape..

She uses digital art and moving images to create analogies, proposing a poetic transposition from the observation of an environment, triggering a chain of events, articulating natural cycles that have become cinematographic.

Multimedia artist, Isabelle Dehay realizes her filmic installations by developing her own digital programs, such as Multimédia multimorceau, since 2007. This work allows her to approach the temporality of a film differently than linear: random editing, splitting or multiplicity of the scenario, interactive works, spontaneity of recording and video writing.
Sensitive to creating bridges between experimental artist’s cinema and digital art, she has made numerous short films in 16 mm, films and interactive video installations, as well as performances often associated with sound research, enriched by meetings with contemporary composers. Internationally oriented, she was awarded in 2014 by the French Institute for a creative residency in Acadia. In Canada, her work was also exhibited in 2011 at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in Halifax.

Isabelle Dehay is in residence at Maison Garenne from April 11 to July 8, 2016.
