Interventions in a classroom or workshop by an artist for a duration of 6 or 10 hours (depending on the scope of the desired project) with the aim of collectively designing, producing and exhibiting hybrid and digital creations or installations based on technologies of yesterday and today.
Each activity includes a one-hour session with the VIDEOFORMES teacher in the classroom to discuss the concepts explored by the pupils in their creations, based on a thematic corpus of multimedia works.
The activity culminates in a collective exhibition by all participating schools during the Panorama de la Création Jeunesse (Youth Creation Panorama) at the VIDEOFORMES festival in Clermont-Ferrand.
Teachers can choose one of the two types of intervention proposed below:
1 - Installation (10 hours of work)
An art installation is a creative endeavour in which the arrangement of materials, objects and ideas takes into account the space in which it is located. An installation is, in a way, an artistic environment, sometimes resembling a stage set.
2 - Creation (6 hours of work)
The aim is to collectively design and produce, with the artist’s help, a creation such as a video, website, digital photography and images, application, video game, machinima, network art, metaverse, synthetic images and spaces, interactive interface, performance and new media, multimedia sculpture, algorithmic art, augmented reality and mixed realities, etc.
