(Down) In the Dark

(Down) In the Dark is a polymorphic creation. Minimalist version proposed in secret places. A staged version is performed in theaters. And, for the first time, an all-English version in the form of a performance. Whatever the proposal, this unusual artistic object mixes genres by plunging the spectator into the heart of the text, the image and the sound.

Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain is not dead. His ghost, with two faces, haunts the stage. A room? Blank page? Psyche? The space is open but inexorably sinks us into the night. Down in the dark. Maintained in the half-light, the spectator follows the literary and emotional wanderings of an elusive artist. Musical fragments, diary extracts, phantasmagorical images and song lyrics intermingle. On stage, Kurt is twenty years old. No, he is fifty. Even his age is blurred. When the shadows come and go, the only truth that remains is the text.

The Ricochet(s) Company

The Ricochet(s) company aims to create a bridge between theater and rock culture, to promote interdisciplinarity and to develop international exchanges. Every year, it organizes the Ricochet(s) Lab festival, inviting French and foreign artists to perform and create happenings in unusual places in Clermont-Ferrand. It promotes new modes of expression and seeks to reconcile radicalism and openness to all audiences.
