A bewitching video installation that plunges us into the heart of lush, hypnotic psychedelic forest spaces where mutant, disturbing, armed hybrids organize the resistance of ecosystems. They watch and patrol while waiting for the imminent invasion of the hyper-pollution resulting from the violent overexploitation of the Earth’s resources. The confrontation seems inevitable?
Jérémy Griffaud lives and works in Nice. After obtaining a National Diploma of Plastic Expression, he participates in several collective projects. In 2019, he makes videos from his drawings and digital photographic collages that he presents in installations. He revisits contemporary culture broadcast on social networks, television … By diverting clichés anchored in the collective imagination, he produces absurd or parodic works that draw the contours of his singular universe and a fantastic world.
This VIDEOBAR is the result of Jérémy Griffaud’s residency at the Collège du Beffroi in Billom. The artist is currently in residence at La Maison Garenne, located in Saint-Sauves d’Auvergne where he is working on his new creation.
