As part of Clermont Innovation Week, VIDEOFORMES is organizing a meeting with Pierce Warnecke and Clément Édouard, artists in residence at the Chapelle de l’Oratoire, who will present their new work in progress – “FLUX”.
FLUX is an installation that tells the story of an imaginary river that has disappeared. This kinetic sculpture of suspended rocks will be augmented by a multi-format set of fictional and narrative documents about the origin and depletion of this river. Through the play of aquatic movements of form, light and sound, the rock will reveal the memory that the water has left it through its fluidity, its speed and its journey from the top of a mountain to the sea, passing through the city. The installation proposes a spatial and temporal compression of the relationship between water and rock, from the granite of the peaks to the sand of the deltas. It invites to a sensitive and imaginary experience, underlining the interdependence between the human and the surrounding environment.
